Kazanorgsintez (CBS, part of the TAIF group) stopped the production of low-pressure polyethylene (HDPE) for preventive maintenance, according to the ICIS-MRC Price Review.
CBS began a consistent shutdown of capacity for planned preventive maintenance last week and by September 26 completely stopped the release of the HDPE. Simple capacity will be short and will take about two weeks, renewal of polyethylene production is planned from October 11th.
The annual capacity of the HDPE production at Kazanorgsintez is 540 thousand tons.
It is also worth noting that from October 1, the second largest producer of HDPE – Stavrolen plans to stop its capacity for 10 days of prevention. Annual production capacity is 300 thousand tons.
