The April contract price of propylene in Europe was agreed at EUR10 per ton higher than the level of March. For the most part, European producers announced a proportional increase in the export prices of polypropylene for supplies to the CIS markets in April, according to the Price Review of the ICIS-MRC.

In some cases, it is a question of raising prices by EUR15-30 per tonne, as well as the prolongation of the March prices.

Negotiations on the April level of prices of the European PP began on Tuesday. All market participants note an increase in export prices for propylene polymers in the current month, at least in proportion to the growth in the price of the monomer in the region, with some exceptions. Several manufacturers announced an increase in the prices of homopolymers of propylene (PP homo) at EUR30 per tonne in comparison with the level of March.

Transactions regarding the April deliveries of PP homo were discussed in the range EUR1,090-1,155 per tonne, FCA, whereas deals for March shipment were agreed in the range EUR1,060-1,145 per tonne, FCA. Some manufacturers retain restrictions on the export of injection molded PP-homo.

Transactions on deliveries of propylene block copolymers (PP block) are discussed in the EUR1 210-1 250 per tonne range, FCA, whereas in March the deals were in the EUR1 range 195-1 250 per tonne, FCA.
