Prices of polyethylene pipe (HDPE) for deliveries in December, are still being discussed in Europe, according to ICIS, citing market participants.

In general, the negotiations to reduce the prices of December of polyethylene (PE) in Europe for EUR30, which corresponds to the reduction in prices of raw materials – ethylene in the current month. While some HDPE sellers insist on prolongation of the November price.

Thus large buyers do not agree, referring to sufficient supplies. Buyers IPA insist on reduction of prices in accordance with the quotations of the monomer.

As reported earlier MRC, the November contract price of ethylene in Europe was agreed at EUR30 per tonne higher than the level in October. Transactions on the November shipment of low-density polyethylene (HDPE) for the CIS countries are consistent in the range of EUR1 090-1 180 per tonne, FCA, which actually corresponds to the October price levels.
