The September contract price of propylene in Europe was agreed at EUR40 per tonne higher than the level of August. Negotiations on the September level of European PP prices began this week, many market participants note that European producers have gone on to increase PP export prices because of the growth in the cost of the monomer in the region. There are no export restrictions for some of the European manufacturers, some manufacturers still have restrictions due to production stops. There is also an increased demand for polypropylene by certain CIS countries.
