Ukrainian Parliament together with the Government should develop the concept of extended producer responsibility, which provides for the introduction in the country of separate waste collection. This was stated by the head of the US company TerraCycle Tom Saki.
“The government should speed up the process of promoting this concept … Every country that has moved to the separate collection of waste, but has benefited from this,” – Saki said.

According to him, a lot of countries, thanks to this method significantly reduced the amount of waste, since the waste was sorted for recycling. Picking up trash in one basket, the country loses about 30% of the valuable raw materials for processing.

Earlier, it was reported that currently in Ukraine there are several tens of thousands of landfills. waste problem must be urgently addressed at the state level.
Earlier, Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman October 28 said the need to bring the experience of foreign partners and the latest technology in the fight with the landfill.
