Two young Ukrainian inventors received gold awards at the International School Olympiad on Ecology in Brazil.

A pupil of grade 11 of the Mariupol technical lyceum Ekaterina Malkina won with the project New method of biogenic utilization of high density polyethylene (HDPE). It is devoted to the possibility of a certain type of larva to digest polyethylene.
The first-year student of the Bogomolets National Medical University, Yuri Pasha (the last year graduated from the same Mariupol Technical Lyceum) became the first thanks to his development. A new environmentally friendly method for improving the life characteristics of plants of the Poaceae family (Cereals). Yuri also received the Grand Prix of the Olympics. Its development will improve the yield of cereals.
At the Olympiad in Brazil, 420 student projects from around the world were presented.
The achievements of Ukrainian students were also noted by President Petro Poroshenko.
