\"\"Ufaorgsintez (OOS, Bashneft\u2019s petrochemical asset) stopped the production of polypropylene (PP) and part of the capacity for the production of high-pressure polyethylene (LDPE) for scheduled preventive repairs, Market Report customers said.<\/p>\n

According to the enterprise\u2019s customers, on Tuesday September 17th, OOS completely stopped the production of PP for scheduled preventive maintenance. The second stage of the LDPE production plant (158th and 153rd) was also stopped for routine maintenance. Downtime of capacities will be short and will take about 12 days. The annual capacity for PP and LDPE is 120 thousand tons and 90 thousand tons, respectively.<\/p>\n

It is also worth noting that this is the fourth stop in September for the prevention of Russian producers of polypropylene. From the beginning of the month to the present moment, Tomskneftekhim, Stavrolen and Poliom stopped their production.<\/p>\n

For high-pressure polyethylene, this is the second stop for prevention this month and not the last. Earlier this month, Tomskneftekhim stopped its facilities for two-week preventive maintenance, and from September 26th Kazanogsintez will stop its LDPE facilities.<\/p>\n
