The cost of propylene fell significantly more than ethylene, – \u20ac 110 per ton. European crackers supplying significant amounts of both ethylene and propylene in September. According to data from the site http:\/\/pro-ptr.ru imports also exerted its influence due to the continuing deterioration in the pricing of propylene in the US.<\/p>\n

Once the cost of benzene declined by \u20ac 260 per tonne in September, the price of styrene in October fell to \u20ac 210 \/ t.<\/p>\n

Manufacturers of polystyrene, PVC and HDPE managed largely to restrain price drop for their products within their price decline in raw material costs and, thus preserving their profits. Manufacturers of polystyrene were initially focused on reducing the price of \u20ac 135 per tonne, but most of them succumbed to pressure from the buyers and have lowered the price according to the cost of raw materials.<\/p>\n

Prices of LDL and PP prices fell slightly more than the cost of monomials of material excess supply in the market. After a decline in May, the prices of PET have stabilized in October because of good demand.<\/p>\n
