This month in the market of styrene considerable pressure on prices from the commodity markets after the price reduction of ethylene in Europe EUR90 per ton and benzene at EUR260 per ton.<\/p>\n

Some players were confident that the prices of styrene in September will be agreed at a lower level, given the downward price trend in the second half of August and weak demand in the market from buyers.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, other sources claim that the demand side of markets “downstream” began to grow. In combination with the nascent recovery in the energy markets and markets, “upstream”, these factors may come into opposition with the downward price trend in the market.<\/p>\n

According to the company Market report in August contract price of styrene monomer in Europe were agreed at the level of EUR1 300 per ton FOB \u0410R\u0410 that EUR25 \/ tonne lower compared with the previous month. Last month it was expected a small decline in prices, as the market activity traditionally slows down in August.
