The contract price was approved on the basis of FD NWE (with delivery to North-Western Europe).<\/p>\n

Two manufacturers and two consumers directly confirmed the agreement of this price, which is the minimum necessary configuration for the final agreement of the contract price.<\/p>\n

This is the highest contract contract price since October 2014.<\/p>\n

The increase in the contract price for the material was expected in the market amid a sharp increase in the prices of naphtha in May compared with April.<\/p>\n

However, the softening factor, which limited the growth of the price of ethylene, was the balance of supply and demand, which led to the fact that in April and then in the second half of May, an increased volume of exports was recorded.<\/p>\n

Earlier it was noted that the contract price of ethylene in Europe for May supplies was finally agreed at the level of EUR1,087 per tonne, which is EUR20 per ton higher than the April level.<\/p>\n

Ethylene is the main raw material component for the production of polyethylene (PE).<\/p>\n

According to the ICIS-MRC Price Review, on the Russian market in the last week of the month, contract prices of PE for deliveries in June were traditionally agreed. For the most part, manufacturers have gone on the prolongation of the May price level for high-pressure polyethylene (LDPE) and low-density polyethylene (HDPE).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
