The imports of low-density polyethylene (HDPE) to the European market increased by 3.07% in January this year compared to the same month of the previous year – to 96.55 thousand tonnes, ICIS reported with reference to the statistical agency Eurostat.<\/p>\n
In January, 2017, this indicator was at the level of 93.68 thousand tons.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the export of IPA from Europe to other world markets increased by 23.31% over the reporting period and amounted to 86.399 thousand tons against 70.07 thousand tons in January 2017.<\/p>\n
Earlier it was noted that the import of ethylene (raw materials for polyethylene production) to the European market increased in January 2018 by 1.64% compared to the same period a year earlier – to 22.88 thousand tons.<\/p>\n
According to DataScope of the company MRC, in February, external supplies of HDPE to Russia increased to 17.5 thousand tons against 17.2 thousand tons a month, local companies slightly increased the volume of purchases of HDPE in Uzbekistan. In general, for January-February of 2018, the total volume of imports of HDPE in Russia reached 34.7 thousand tons against 24.7 thousand tons a year earlier, the volume of polyethylene deliveries from Uzbekistan and Finland increased significantly.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
