The February contract price of propylene in Europe was agreed at EUR28 per tonne higher than the level of January. Against this background, European producers announced an increase in the export prices of polypropylene (PP) for supplies to the markets of the CIS countries in February, but the rise in prices is often not proportional to the growth of the price of the monomer, according to the Price Review of ICIS-MRC.<\/p>\n
Negotiations on the February price level of the European PP began at the end of last week, all market participants note a further rise in polymer prices. At the same time, the position of European manufacturers regarding the price increase is ambiguous, the increase in the cost of polypropylene is announced in the range of EUR20-35 per ton.<\/p>\n
Transactions regarding the January supplies of propylene homopolymer (PP homo) were in the range EUR1 030-1,140 per tonne, FCA, for February shipment deals are negotiated in the range EUR1,050-1,170 per tonne, FCA.<\/p>\n
Transactions on deliveries of propylene block copolymers (PP block) are coordinated in the range EUR1 210-1 275 per tonne, FCA, which is EUR 30-35 per ton higher than the level of January.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
