According to the National Bureau of statistics of the Republic of Belarus, in may exports of polyethylene in the Republic of Belarus has been reduced to 8.5 thousand tons compared to 8.9 thousand tons a month earlier due to the reduction in the supply of high-density polyethylene (HDPE). Overall, in January – may this year, the total import volume of PE was 40.1 thousand tons compared to 39.1 thousand tons for the same period a year earlier.<\/p>\n

Structure of imports of polyethylene in Belarus by type during the period under review is as follows.<\/p>\n

In may, imports of high-pressure polyethylene (LDPE) and linear polyethylene (LDL) was reduced to 5.2 thousand tons compared to 5.3 thousand tons a month earlier. Basically were reduced CVP deliveries from Russia. In the first five months of the year, the total volume of foreign supplies of these types of PE was 25.9 thousand tons, a 39.7% increase compared to the same period in 2014.<\/p>\n

May the volume of imports of HDPE was reduced to 3.1 thousand tons compared to 3.5 thousand tons a month earlier at the expense of reduction of volumes of supplies from middle East producers. Overall, during the period under review, the total volume of foreign supplies to Belarus this type of PE was 14.2 thousand tons compared to 20.6 thousand tons a year earlier.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
