The group of people’s deputies of Ukraine appealed to the General Prosecutor’s Office of the country with a demand to react to the situation on creating a monopoly in the market of household waste that the Ukrainian businessman is trying to lobby through including First Deputy Head of the Presidential faction in the Ukrainian parliament Igor Kononenko.<\/p>\n
Their concern was caused by a number of bills registered in the Ukrainian parliament, which, in the opinion of politicians, are aimed at monopolizing the processing of domestic waste, developing budgetary funds and receiving state benefits.<\/p>\n
“The essence of the scheme is to several times increase taxes on all packages for goods imported to Ukraine or produced in Ukraine. At the same time, these taxes will be paid not to the budget, but to private companies that utilize household waste. It seems that a single package or package is worth a penny, but on a countrywide scale, the introduction of this scheme will bring profit from 5 to 7 billion hryvnia (about $ 260 million), the appeal says.<\/p>\n
In addition, these draft laws assume that the company that will recycle household waste will have to pay a deposit of 1 million euros to carry out such activities.<\/p>\n
“The size of such a pledge makes it impossible to participate in the recycling of household waste of small businesses and actually displaces small businesses from the market,” the address said.<\/p>\n
The publication censor.net.ua drew attention to the fact that businessman Igor Tynny with the help of the deputy head of the presidential fraction Igor Kononenko and his business partner, the People’s Deputy of Sergei Trigubenko, are trying to legislatively introduce a scheme aimed at monopolizing the processing of domestic waste, establishing control over the full cycle of processing, development of budgetary funds and further receipt of state benefits.<\/p>\n
The ultimate goal of the Tynn scheme, as the newspaper writes, is the introduction of an absolute monopoly, not only in the field of waste collection and processing. With money collected from the business with the help of a new tariff scale of taxation, garbage processing plants will be built. Factories will supply raw materials for the production of fuel briquettes, which in turn will be supplied to power generating companies, and they will sell electricity at the “green tariff” of Klyuyev. Thus, by dragging laws through the parliament, lobbyists will be able to count on a net profit of 4-5 billion UAH per year.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
