It consists of an extruder with a multi-rotational (MRS) system with high degassing and cleaning processes, an effective rotary melt filtration system and an online Gneuss viscometer that provides dynamic monitoring, monitoring and viscosity recording.<\/p>\n<p>Gneuss specialists optimized the design of extruders and developed a new JUMP system. It is installed immediately after the processing unit and provides an accurate and controlled increase in the intrinsic viscosity (IV) of PET in the molten phase. JUMP is a compact, fast and effective alternative to conventional solid state polycondensation (SSP) systems. It allows you to re-enter the polymer directly into the production process without the additional melting.<\/p>\n<p>Fast and efficient JUMP system<\/p>\n<p>According to the Gneuss industrial waste management concept, wastes are first fed to a chopper or knife crusher, where their size is reduced to a suitable size for loading into an extruder. Here, pressing of the ground waste or a feeder directly connected to the extruder can be used.<\/p>\n<p>The first important technological stage &#8211; melt cleaning &#8211; takes place in an extruder. The MRS extruder can process PET waste with a high content of residual moisture and \/ or contaminants (such as lubricants) without any pretreatment. In the extruder extrusion system, a large surface area of \u200b\u200bthe polymer and a high rate of surface exchange under vacuum ensure reliable removal of volatile contaminants. Solid contaminants are removed by the fully automatic rotary filtration system of the Gneuss melt, which provides constant process characteristics. The fineness of filtration is less than 20 \u03bcm guarantees high quality of melt purification from extraneous impurities. In a second step, the purified and homogenized polymer is fed to the JUMP system by a melt pump. The decisive factors here are the large surface area of \u200b\u200bthe polymer melt and the optimum residence time of the polymer under vacuum. The polymer melt remains in the vacuum as it passes through the slowly rotating elements. By monitoring the residence time and the rotation speed of the elements, polycondensation occurs with a controlled increase in the intrinsic viscosity from 0.02 to 0.30 dL \/ g.<\/p>\n<p>The construction of the JUMP system excludes access to oxygen and thus prevents yellowing of the PET melt during recycling. After passing through the leveling chambers of the JUMP system, the polymer melt is pumped directly to the production process (for example, spinning or binding straps by direct extrusion technology) or to a granulation \/ grinding plant. The entire system, consisting of a technological unit with the MRS extruder and the JUMP system, allows a high-quality polymer melt, ready for processing into the final product, to be extracted from industrial waste quickly and efficiently in one operation.<\/p>\n<p>Increased flexibility and certification<\/p>\n<p>The popularity of PET films and secondary materials is growing in the packaging industry. Regardless of whether PET films are used to make transparent food packages (trays or containers for fruit, vegetables, meat, cookies) or non-food packaging (blisters), it is important to take into account the specific properties of PET.<br \/>\nThe GPU processing unit, consisting of an MRS extruder, a rotary filtration system, an online viscometer and a control system, is suitable for processing both primary and secondary PET and can provide a quality that meets the requirements of the food industry. The MRS extruder guarantees economical PET processing without pre-drying or crystallization. The extruder effectively copes with both new material and crushed used PET bottles with residual moisture of 1%, and in some cases even more. Also, the extruder is suitable for working with waste of combined PET \/ PE materials (laminated films) and PET and PETG mixtures. Due to the very high rate of surface polymer exchange under vacuum in the MRS section, it is sufficient to evacuate to 25 bar for a 100% moisture removal. At the same time, volatile pollutants are effectively removed. PET films made on an MRS extruder are suitable for contacting foodstuffs regardless of the type of feedstock and its pretreatment.<br \/>\nThe Gneuss technological unit also includes a rotary melt filtration system.
