According to him, slowing demand and competitive import prices have become the main reason for the price drop.<\/p>\n

Activity in the Turkish market slowed in the middle of the month to a very low level, as the tense political and economic situation in the country makes significant investments unattractive.<\/p>\n

As predicted by many players last week, this decline in Petkim prices could be the first sign of a downward price trend in the market.<\/p>\n

However, the sellers made it clear that their intentions are to maintain stable prices next month.<\/p>\n

As previously reported by the Market Report, in early October Petkim announced an increase in the prices of LDPE in October. Thus, the growth of Petkim prices in the Turkish market was then USD20 per tonne for injection molding, blow molding and pipe marks of LDPE.<\/p>\n

According to the ICIS-MRC Price Review, in the Russian market, many processors have already closed all their deals for the October deliveries of LDPE and paused until November. At the same time, many sellers said that they also sold all their October quotas of polyethylene. In November, processors expect further price sagging.<\/p>\n
