In December 2014, DuPont, the American chemical giant, has sold its division of Neoprene (polychloroprene), a Japanese company, Denka Performance Elastomer, a joint venture, which is 70% owned by Japanese Denka, and other assets-Mitsui & Co. The amount of the transaction, the closing is scheduled for the second half of 2015 not reported.<\/p>\n

The Denka (Denki Kagaku Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha) was founded in 1915 in Japan. The first factory was located in the city of Hokkaido. Since 1962 the company began producing petrochemical products. In particular, in the same year was built the plant for the production of styrene and polystyrene in Chiba.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
