The October contract price of propylene in Europe was agreed at EUR30 per tonne higher than the level of September. Nevertheless, some European producers said a higher increase in the export prices of polypropylene (PP) for supplies to the markets of the CIS countries in October than the increase in the price of the monomer, according to the Price Review of ICIS-MRC.<\/p>\n
Negotiations on the October price level of the European PP began this week, many market participants state that some European producers went for a larger increase in the export prices of PP than the increase in the cost of the monomer in the region. Some European manufacturers have restrictions on October shipments, but they are not critical for most buyers.<\/p>\n
Transactions regarding the October supply of homopolymer propylene (PP-homo) were discussed in the EUR1 070-1-130 per tonne range, FCA, which is EUR30-40 per ton higher than the September level.<\/p>\n
Transactions regarding the supply of propylene block copolymers (PP block) were discussed in the EUR1 170 -1 240 per tonne range, FCA.
