UBC Group, a trade and industrial holding company working in the field of refrigeration and promotional products, plans to commission the first stage of a refrigeration equipment factory in Vinnitsa (Ukraine) in December this year, Interfax-Ukraine reported.<\/p>\n
Investments in the project reached EUR18 million.<\/p>\n
“Now we are completing the construction and expect that the first stage of the plant will start producing test lots of freezing chests starting in December, the capacity of the first stage is 60 thousand pieces per year and its budget is EUR18 million,” said Igor Gumenny, President of UBC Group.<\/p>\n
According to him, after the launch of the first stage, the company will start construction of the second one.<\/p>\n
“After the launch of the first stage, we plan to expand the hull from 20 thousand square meters to 35,000 square meters. The second stage will produce refrigerating cabinets, with it we will reach the capacity of 150,000 pieces per year,” And .Gumenny.<\/p>\n
Capital investments of the second stage will make about EUR10-12 million.<\/p>\n
“We are investing not only in the Vinnytsia plant.In Kharkov we are expanding production, we are building a new metalworking shop that occupies two thousand square meters. At another Kharkov plant for the production of promotional products, we are planning a technological leap-transition from analog printing to digital, “- said the president of the company.<\/p>\n
Also, I.Gumenny clarified that now investments in capacity expansion are loans of banks and company funds.<\/p>\n
“The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development plans to enter the capital, as our partner, the bank can become a co-investor, it must take an appropriate decision before the new year,” he said.<\/p>\n
According to the company’s director, UBC Group is the largest producer of promotional products in Europe. The company occupies an 18% share of the world market of bar coolers.<\/p>\n
“The company’s goal for the next five years will grow by 7% in bar coolers and take up to 25% of the world market share.In America, we have a share of 8-10%, we want to double the share by 2022. We now focus on Spain, Germany, Latin America and North America, where we are increasing our share, “said I. Gumenny.<\/p>\n
