In August, the volume of imports of polypropylene to Ukraine grew significantly and amounted to about 12,4 thousand tons against 10,6 thousand tons a month earlier, the main increase in supplies fell on the homopolymer of propylene (PP-homo) raffia. In general, for January-August of this year the total volume of imports of propylene polymers reached the level of 80.1 thousand tons against 79.3 thousand tons a year earlier. The growth of external supplies fell on block copolymers of propylene (PP block), while demand for other types of polypropylene either declined or remained at the level of the previous year.<\/p>\n
The structure of supplies by types of polypropylene during the period under review is as follows.<\/p>\n
Last month, external deliveries of propylene homopolymers to the Ukrainian market rose to 9.9 thousand tons against 7.8 thousand tons in July. The main increase in deliveries fell on polypropylene from Saudi Arabia and Russia. For eight months, the total supply of PP homo reached 61.5 thousand tons, which actually corresponds to last year’s indicator.<\/p>\n
In August, the external supply of propylene block copolymers amounted to about 1.1 thousand tons against 1.4 thousand tons a month earlier, demand for injection and pipe copolymers of propylene decreased. During the period under review, about 8,600 tons of propylene block copolymers were imported, while a year earlier this figure was just over 7.5 thousand tons. The greatest increase in demand was shown by local pipe producers.<\/p>\n
Last month, the import of polypropylene stat copolymers was maintained at the level of July and amounted to 1.3 thousand tons. In January-August total imports of PP-Rand exceeded 8.6 thousand tons, while a year earlier this figure was about 9.1 thousand tons.<\/p>\n
The total volume of supplies of other copolymers of propylene during the period under review was about 1.4 thousand tons against 1.5 thousand tons a year earlier.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
