Negotiations on the July prices of European PE markets of CIS countries began last Monday. The proposal of the polymer at selected growers in the current month has increased, the only exception is pipe high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and linear polyethylene (LDL). As a consequence, most European manufacturers have cut the export prices of polyethylene (LDPE) and HDPE in July.<\/p>\n

Deals for July shipment of high-density polyethylene was discussed last week in the range of EUR1 470-1 550 per tonne, FCA, whereas the month before the transaction reached the level of EUR 1 630 per ton. Offer HDPE from some European manufacturers is limited, however, in General, a serious shortage is not felt.<\/p>\n

Similar situation on the market of high-pressure polyethylene, transactions were discussed in the range of EUR1 500-1 600 per tonne, FCA, which is EUR70-80 per tonne below June prices.<\/p>\n

Despite the decline in export prices of polyethylene in Europe, a lot of companies are not in a hurry to buy the polymer. Market participants hope that in the near future European ethylene polymers to become cheaper.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
