In Kiev, 5 landfills are recultivated, the “Energria” plant is being reconstructed and new Waste Management Centers are coming in which they are going to sort household waste with the maximum selection of resource-related components – glass, plastic, metal and paper, so-called conventional fuel.\nThis was announced by the deputy chairman of the Kyiv city state administration Petr Panteleev, the correspondent of Voice UA informs.
\n“Kiev has a clear vision of how the sphere of garbage disposal should develop. We have already started emergency response activities at range number 5, we are developing a project for its subsequent reclamation, in parallel we studied the most real recycling technologies for us and have already outlined possible locations for future construction. It is planned that there will be 5 of them, with capacity from 350 thousand tons \/ year to 450 thousand tons \/ year, “he said.
\nAccording to P. Panteleev, the KSCA plans to reconstruct the Energia plant with the creation of a modern gas cleaning system.
\nDirector of the Analytical Research Center “Institute of the City” Alexander Sergienko added that today in the city and so it sorts garbage, but it has not only an official, but also a spontaneous nature.
\n“Homeless people choose everything from garbage cans that they are interested in. If such a situation continues further, there will be nothing to work with at marshalling yards. That is why it is necessary to install closed ativandal containers and closed points for receiving such raw materials, “he stressed.
\nRecall, in Lviv, a critical situation with the removal of garbage. Every day 500-600 tons of garbage accumulate in the city. The mayor of the city, Andrei Sadovoy, stated that the last landfill in Ukraine, with which the agreement on garbage disposal was concluded, refused to accept waste. In late April 2017 an agreement was reached that garbage from Lviv will take 19 polygons of the Lviv region.
\nHowever, garbage from Lviv is periodically found in various regions of Ukraine. Moreover, almost every region has already “suffered” from the actions of the Lviv mayor. It should be noted that Lviv garbage was also found in the Chernobyl exclusion zone.
\nAccording to experts, the ecological catastrophe threatens not only Lviv and the Lviv region, but also other regions of Ukraine, due to improper utilization of household waste.<\/p>\n
