This was the highest price level since August 2015.<\/p>\n<p>And in January ethylene contract price in Europe it was agreed at the level of EUR985 per tonne FD NWE, up EUR45 above December levels.<\/p>\n<p>Ethylene is a raw material for production of polyethylene (PE).<\/p>\n<p>According to the price review ICIS-MRC, the Russian market of polyethylene saved quite a difficult situation. The excess for a long time on the market PE has a strong pressure on prices. At the same time constantly strengthen the ruble against the dollar even in the face in foreign markets rising prices does not allow local producers to increase exports.
