\"\"<\/a>Styrolution Company, world leader in the production of styrene and styrene plastics, this week announced the increase of the prices of all grades of polystyrene (PS) at EUR30 per tonne for the European market, according to ICIS.<\/p>\n

The company reserves the price difference in the amount of EUR90 per tonne between quotations of high-impact polystyrene (HIPS \/ M) and general purpose polystyrene (PSS \/ M).<\/p>\n

Some manufacturers have said that they will try to improve the margin of the SS in a favorable market conditions and limited supply.<\/p>\n

However buyers believe that the price trend of the SS must be in accordance with the changes of styrene quotations, and some said that they would be categorically opposed to any increase in prices by a larger amount than styrene prices.<\/p>\n

Previously, it was noted that in March this year Styrolution announced a price increase on all brands of PS at EUR120 per tonne. And in April, the company raised the price of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) Terluran brand in Europe for EUR110 (USD114) per ton, compared with the March level.<\/p>\n

According to the price review ICIS-MRC, in Russia last week, the lower limit of the spot price of Russian SS grew. Trading companies have raised prices, selling off the remnants of the old and laying in the quotes higher logistics costs in April. Meanwhile, customer expectations regarding the May price of Nizhnekamsk polystyrene different. According to rumors, Nizhnekamskneftekhim could raise the price of 1500 rubles. per tonne in May. However, some consumers believe that the price increase in the current situation, the strengthening of the ruble is unfounded.<\/p>\n

Styrolution Group GmbH is a global supplier of styrene. In mid-November 2014 the company by Ineos, a major European petrochemical manufacturer, has closed a deal to acquire a 50% stake in BASF joint venture between the two companies – Styrolution. Styrolution main activity is the production of styrene monomer, polystyrene (PS), ABS and special oil products. The company produces styrene plastics for use in various industries, such as automotive, electronics, construction, household goods and leisure, packaging, medicine.<\/p>\n
