The real eco-problems of Ukraine are practically not covered in the media, and journalists pay most attention to hype topics, analysts at IMI note
Only 1% of the total amount of materials in the national media is on the topic of ecology, and at least half of such news concerns events abroad. This is evidenced by the results of media analysis in late September and early October, which leads the Institute of Mass Media.
Most often in the news about the ecology there were references to the Swedish eco-activist Greta Thunberg – 16.5% of the total number of materials.
In second place – materials on the fauna, rescue or death of animals – 14.1%. The third – 12.4% – were electric cars.
