Kazanorgsintez (KOS, part of the TAIF group) has begun a sequential start-up of high-pressure polyethylene (LDPE) production after stopping for scheduled preventive maintenance, according to the ICIS-MRC Price Review.
According to the information of the company’s customers, since May 5, consecutive work began on resuming production at the 3rd stage of the Kazanorgsintez LDPE. A full halt of high-pressure polyethylene production at this stage was carried out on April 12, and the output at full capacity is expected by the end of this week. The annual production capacity of LDPE 3rd stage is 140 thousand tons.
It is also worth noting that the following planned preventive downtime at Russian LDPE manufacturers are planned in July. The Angarsk ZP and Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat will stop production at routine maintenance.
