Chinese Shenhua Baotou Coal Chemical Industry plans in August to begin planned preventive measures at the plant producing low-pressure polyethylene / linear polyethylene (HDPE / LDL) in Baotou (Baotou, Inner Mongolia, China), a company source told ICIS.
According to him, the repair work at this plant with a capacity of 300 thousand tons of PND / LDL per year will continue until mid-September of the current year, but the exact timing of the maintenance is not reported. Currently, this production produces LDL.
Shenhua Baotou on the same site also operates a polypropylene (PP) plant of similar capacity.
Earlier, it was noted that last year Shenhua Baotou Coal Chemical Industry closed these plants for scheduled repairs from September 1 to 25.
Estimated PE consumption in Russia amounted to 889.54 thousand tons in the first five months of the current year, which is 6% more than a year earlier. Deliveries of all types of polyethylene increased.
