The import of Russian general-purpose polystyrene (PSS / M) and high-impact polystyrene (UPS / M) manufactured by Nizhnekamskneftekhim to Ukraine decreased by 25% in January-October this year and amounted to 10.4 thousand tons, Market Report reported in DataScope.
According to the results of ten months of last year, this indicator was at the level of 13.9 thousand tons.
In ten months, the share of Nizhnekamsk material in the overall structure of imports to the Ukrainian market decreased significantly and amounted to 51% compared to 67% in January – October 2018.
Nevertheless, in October of this year, material imports increased by 45% compared with September and amounted to 1.2 thousand tons against 0.8 thousand tons. In October last year, deliveries were also at the level of 1.2 thousand tons.
In general, the import of this type of polystyrene into the country over the ten months of this year decreased by 2% to 20.5 thousand tons against 20.8 thousand.
