Kazanorgsintez (KOS, part of the TAIF group) has resumed the production of low-pressure polyethylene (HDPE) after preventive maintenance, according to the ICIS-MRC Price Review.

CBS last week began a sequential launch of capacity after scheduled preventive maintenance. According to company representatives, by the beginning of the current week all three reactors were launched.

The capacity downtime was short and took less than four weeks, the power overhaul started from September 26th.

The annual production capacity of HDPE at Kazanorgsintez is 540 thousand tons.

PJSC “Kazanorgsintez” is one of the largest producers of polyethylene and polyethylene pipes in Russia, the only national manufacturer of polycarbonates. The company produces more than 170 types of chemical products with an aggregate tonnage of more than 1.3 million tons.
