HDPE granules allow not only using secondary raw materials, but also reducing the price of the product in the production of which it will be used. At the moment in Europe, commercials are highly valued, focusing on the popularization of waste recycling. This also applies to low-density polyethylene. It is obtained by polymerizing ethylene with an organic solvent. Such polyethylene is widely used in manufacturing, as it is stable, does not stick, does not conduct electric current, and softens when heated. But! When it is burned, harmful substances are emitted into the atmosphere.

Benefits of recycled materials

Plants for the production of LDPE and HDPE granules use plastic waste. The most important thing is that high quality products are obtained from such raw materials:

PVC pipes
Capacities
Coating for electrical conductors
Film
Vials, cans

In addition, the obtained polyethylene semi-finished product is used for the manufacture of bottles, food and technical packaging and other things. Granules are sorted, packaged and sent to factories.

How are secondary HDPE granules obtained?

Garbage is recycled through extrusion, casting and blowing. This process consists of several stages, in which:

Raw materials are sorted according to color, type, level and quality of contamination. If the company is small, such work on the production of HDPE granules is done manually.
Specialized machines (crushers) crush and granulate particles.
Washing and cleaning from impurities is carried out.
At the stage of agglomeration in the chamber, slurry is made by friction and heating. Water is added to the machine, and balls are obtained (the shape is irregular).

After each step, the manufacturer sends the material to the extruder so that the molten plastic is forced through a forming-type hole into the so-called filaments. Then they are cut into small granules and a secondary HDPE is obtained. It should be noted that a minimum amount of finance is required to obtain such material. The main thing is to invest a certain amount of finance for the recycling of your company’s waste, which ultimately will pay off the investment.

Many products are made from HDPE granules, as the use of this material makes them transparent and durable.

There are few specialized companies in our country that are engaged in the processing of low-pressure polyethylene from popular PE brands.
