Kazanorgsintez (CBS, part of the TAIF group) has developed a new brand of LDPE – FA2004, the company’s press service reports.

High-pressure polyethylene grade FA2004 can be used to manufacture a wide range of both film products and technical products produced by extrusion. The use of new technologies and modern raw materials has made it possible to reduce the amount of extractable substances in polyethylene, significantly increase the resistance to cracking and obtain higher physical and mechanical properties than traditional LDPE grades.

The higher quality of FA2004 high-pressure polyethylene makes it possible to improve processability by reducing the “smoke” during extrusion; reduce the thickness of the films by approximately 15-20% while maintaining the strength characteristics; Apply protective coatings that have a long service life.

The obtained test results showed that the finished products, in particular, the film obtained from the FA2004 PVD, have higher strength characteristics compared to the film made from conventional LDPE.

Earlier it was reported that in September of last year Kazanorgsintez conducted scheduled repairs of the LDPE production.

Kazanorgsintez (TAIF) is one of the largest chemical enterprises in Russia. The company produces more than 40% of all Russian polyethylene, and also produces polyethylene pipes. The company is the largest manufacturer of low-pressure polyethylene pipes (HDPE) in Russia. The annual capacity of HDPE production is 540 thousand tons, and LDPE – 217 thousand tons.
